question about this community? so no undergrads, alumni of the undergrad progams?
do you mean alumni can be part of this community? or just graduate students can be members of this community? i'm puzzled. but if any student, or any alumni of scad can be on here. then ok...

But if it's specifically for graduate students, rather than undergrad students: i favor this community more...
I don't want to knock this community, but scad_community was there first for everyone. the community of scad...how is this community different? Is is just for students? and no faculty. is that how it is different?

SCAD Students:

I am possibly an incoming freshman who would like to major in Animation or Illustration. Could someone describe to me what their program is like? I went to a SCAD Summer Seminar session last summer, but I didn't really receive an in-depth instruction like I expected (which may have just been the program itself). The figure drawing course had a similar feeling.

Also, what's the general curriculum like? I'm also interested in foreign language and humanities, and I heard that the other college I've been accepted to has a sucky humanities program, so I'm trying to see what's out there.

If anyone still reads this community and would like to put in two cents, it would be much obliged!

Stupid question.

I remember Painter IX was offered on the MyScad page somewhere but I can't seem to find it again. Can someone tell me where I can find the download?

Thanks, kids :)

Lost memory card/flash drive

1GB SanDisk SD Ultra II Plus USB

Last seen in Alexander Hall in the printmaking computer lab at ~2:30pm Monday the 13th. I noticed it was missing after I arrived at Poetter Hall, before I went inside, after traveling from Alexander by bike. It may be in the etching studio, on the Alexander porch, somewhere between Alexander and Poetter, or somewhere on the ground near shopSCAD.

The drive is named SD USB and contains a default camera folder: "DIMC" or something similar, and a "Digital Page and Web Design" folder with the folders "Final" and "Final site" inside of it.

If you find it please email me at my scad email: krobin23
Luckily I had everything on it backed up and I don't really need it the rest of the quarter, but obvioulsy I'd like to have it back.

Sorry if this has been repeated, but i recieved my financial aid results from SCAD for the 2006-2007 school year, and it says my estimated cost would be $37,000. I wasn't aware the school was $40,000 (they gave me 3,000 in aid)..and i think it's a mistake. Is this really how much the school costs? I was under the impression, and was told by countless SCAD professors and advisors that it was around 25,000.

Please help me find my baby! (Reward offered)
Yesterday (9/17) morning, between 3am and noon, my scooter was stolen from in front of my apartment, on Hall St. between Habersham and Price. It's a 2005 blue and white Honda Metropolitan CHF50, and when it was taken it was missing the right rear view mirror.

I filed a police report and called all the scooter stores in town so they are on the look out for it, but if you see one of these in a pawn shop or see anyone else riding it, it is stolen because it's the only blue Metro in town. Chances are that it's been repainted and sold way far away from here or broken down and sold as parts by now, but I'm still holding out hope because it's my only way to get to work.
If you have any information or see it around town, email me at mcarso20@student.scad.edu or call me at 912-247-1717 (you will have to leave a message since I don't answer my phone for anyone not in my list, but I always check my voicemail) or the Savannah police non-emergency number at 912-232-4141.
I am offering a monetary reward and my undying gratitude for any information leading to the recovery of my ride and/or arrest of whoever took it.

Need a part-time job?
One of the girls I work with recently decided to quit by never showing up again, and another guy is leaving in a couple weeks, so we are desperately in need of some more help. It's not the best pay on the river, but you hardly have to do any work (I used to bring my homework there all the time), everyone there is really easy-going, and you can eat candy and nuts all day long. I really can't think of a better job to have when you taking classes, so if you're interested, please apply in person at The Peanut Shop, 407 E. River St. (between Spanky's and the Oyster Bar).
